I had a two storey extension completed by John Clarkson back in 2004. This gave us a 4th bedroom and a Dining area. The work was completed to a high standard and within timescale and also within the very competitively quoted budget. We were very satisfied with the work done by John and his team and would thoroughly recommend their services to others. In fact following our build John commenced work on an extension for friends of ours!

I had work completed by WJ Clarkson and Son both indoors and outdoors and found their work to be of a very high standard. They landscaped my garden ensuring it was a pleasant place to relax and enjoy valuable time when not working. They also fitted a new kitchen on my behalf ensuring a saved money from fitters recommended by BQ when purchased. I recommend them on their work and pricing, they were polite professional and fast.

I have no hesitation in recommending Clarkson and Son for building work. They completed a major extension / renovation for us eight years ago, and we have been so pleased with it. When they were working on our house we found them very approachable; they explained the implications of decisions as they went along, and kept us informed of progress at all times. They organised and oversaw the whole project, including arranging when other trades would be needed. The standard of their work is very high, and in the time since the extension has been completed, we have never had an issue with quality. If I were ever in the position of needing builders again, the Clarksons would be my first choice.

Build Stone Cottage - Very pleased with the work of this family firm. Stonework excellent. Changed from paying per sq mtr to daily rate and the quality of their work and the amount they can lay on a fairly large stone cottage is very good. Well done, very happy.

Dormer extension to provide an additional bedroom.Finding a reliable builder is a real worry, and I was very pleased that this company was recommended to me. For this original works I obtained three quotes. One was alarmingly high, one worryingly low, and WJ Clarksons in between. They delivered exactly what I hoped for: a professional job, completed on-time, without any hidden extra charges. Moreover, they were quite proactive in identifying areas where cost savings could be achieved. A most satisfactory experience indeed.
